Massachusetts Water Resources Authority Independent Flow Meter Audit, Greater Boston Area (2011-2015)
EST was selected by The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) to install, program, and calibrate over 160 open channel flowmeters throughout the Greater Boston Area. The MWRA is the largest wastewater authority in New England and treats sewerage from 43 cities and towns in the Greater Boston area.
EST’s temporary flowmeters were used to measure and record flows to verify and document the accuracy of permanent MWRA flowmeters used to measure sewer flows from municipalities throughout the MWRA service area. In addition, EST provided reviews of record drawings of monitoring sites, site/manhole mapping, instantaneous flow measurements, and detailed report generation. All work was performed in accordance with applicable OSHA regulations and Department of Transportation (DOT) traffic safety standards.
For over fifteen years, EST was contracted by the Narragansett Bay Commission (NBC) to install, calibrate, replace, and maintain continuous flow monitoring and rain gauge equipment throughout the NBC service area.
EST was contracted by the Town’s engineering consultant to identify potential Inflow and Infiltration sources within the Town’s collection system.
EST performed flow monitoring at eleven (11) locations throughout the town of Braintree, MA.
New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, Winnipesaukee River Basin Flow Monitoring Program
