Massachusetts Water and Resources Authority, Chelsea, MA – Sewer Flow Monitoring and Data Collection
The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) is the largest wastewater authority in New England and treats sewerage from forty-three (43) cities and towns in the Greater Boston area. EST was awarded contracts by the MWRA to install, program, calibrate, and maintain temporary open channel flowmeters at locations throughout the authority’s collection system.
City of Chicopee, MA – Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Monitoring Program
Chicopee is the second largest city in Western Massachusetts. For decades, the City of Chicopee’s combined sewers have discharged untreated sewage and storm water into the Chicopee and Connecticut rivers. EST was contracted by the City’s engineering consultant to perform flow monitoring services in order measure and record combined sewer overflows within the City’s collection system.
Narragansett Bay Commission – Flow Monitoring Program
The Narragansett Bay Commission (NBC) is the largest wastewater authority in Rhode Island and is responsible for the operation of approximately eighty-nine (89) miles of combined sewer interceptors, many of which are over one-hundred (100) years old. For over a decade, EST was contracted by the commission to install, calibrate, replace, and maintain continuous flow monitoring and rain gauge equipment throughout the NBC service area.
