Soil Vapor Intrusion (SVI) Monitoring
EST has the equipment, resources, and experience to support a variety of soil vapor intrusion (SVI) and indoor air sampling programs. In order to identify chemical vapors that might be migrating through subsurface soils or underground utilities, EST can perform soil vapor intrusion sampling in accordance with applicable DEP guidance documents. As part of these SVI sampling programs, EST can collect indoor air and background air samples in the breathing zone and install a temporary sub-slab sampling port for the collection of sub-slab air samples.

EST’s Vapor Shroud
EST’s vapor shroud is a reliable sub-slab soil gas sampling device that meets all regulatory requirements. It simplifies the SVI sampling process and can perform Helium leak checks to verify the integrity of the annular seal around the sub-slab vapor point. The shroud has three auto shut-off quick connect ports; one to allow for Helium gas to be added to the shroud, the second to check the amount of Helium in the shroud and the third port to check the sub-slab vapor point for leaks of Helium around the sub-slab vapor point. EST’s Vapor Shroud is one of the only products on the market specifically designed for SVI sampling and it will save you time and money while maintaining sample integrity.
